(8th graders are invited to participate in April J-SERVE).   REGISTER for projects below. JOIN our mailing list. Contact Abbe Marcus, Director by e-mail if you are interested in joining a Project Planning Committee. Check back as more information becomes available and as additional projects and events are added and go live for registration. Note: Some projects have limited enrollment.

She shares her story at this moving multi-media presentation, followed by a book signing of In a Single Bound: Losing My Leg, Finding Myself, and Training for Life: Sarah Reinertsen. Travel by bus to meet with Jewish teens of Russian descent and volunteer with Met Council on Jewish Poverty in Brooklyn.

Volunteer at Holiday Party with Children at Edenwald Residential Treatment Center in Pleasantville, NY with Families from Larchmont/Mamaroneck UJA-Federation of New York.
Shift 1: Help set up crafts and games, Run tables with participating children Time: 12:30 – 3:00 pm.
Shift 2: Run crafts and games with participating children, serve ice cream sundaes, help clean up Time: 2:30 – 5:00 pm.

Special Event for Teens with BBYO at Mid-Westchester JCC
BLACKOUT DANCE PARTY: Westchester Takes Sandy By Storm!
Join teens from all over Westchester in raising money for the victims of Hurricane Sandy at our Blackout Party! All Jewish teens, grades 8-12 are invited. Bring everyone you know because all proceeds go directly to victims of Hurricane Sandy. Dress in all black, make a difference, and have a really fun night! The dance will be Saturday Night, Dec. 15 from 7:00 pm-10:00 pm at the JCC of Mid-Westchester. J-Teen Leadership Event Chairs: Alexandra Corbin, Emily Goldberg and Rachel Kleinhandler  Cost: $20 per person. Raised over $5,000 for Met Council on Jewish Poverty to help with Hurricane Sandy Relief!

Listen to, learn from and provide hands-on community service to those affected by Hurricane Sandy. Join with Moishe House/Avodah/Young Judaea on Hurricane-related service projects, participate in interfaith MLK Day service in Brooklyn church, tour the Lower East Side, meet other teens and have fun!  Community Service Certificates Provided.
