MLK DAY AT AFYA FOUNDATION
Make it a day on, not a day off!
In honor of Martin Luther King Day, please join teens from all over Westchester for a morning of service at the AFYA Foundation to help sort much-needed medical supplies to people in developing countries. AFYA supports ongoing health initiatives in Africa and the Caribbean by supplying critically needed medical supplies, hospital equipment and humanitarian provisions. Supplies and equipment are collected from the healthcare, corporate and private communities and sent to partner organizations on the ground.
Local partners for this event include: Congregation Emanu-El Westchester, Harrison High School: Students for World Health and Peacebuilders of Kings Bay Y.
Buses available from the J-Teen Leadership office. Arrive at the bus at 9:15 am. Bus will leave promptly at 9:30 am. If traveling by car please be at Afya by 9:45 am for registration. Program is over at 12 noon for pick-up. Bus will return to the parking lot between 12:30 and 12:45pm.
